Just a heads up - if you're looking for photos of the Perseids this year, Spaceweather.com is a good place to start and they have a gallery here. The best photo so far is this one.

Also don't forget that the lesser-known Kappa Cygnids will also peak on the 17th or the 18th, so if you missed the Perseids due to weather (as I did; it was really rainy here at the time) then you may be able to see those instead. Another account of the Kappa Cygnids can be read here.
