East Timor to get a Portuguese Language Institute

Saturday, January 18, 2014

From here in Portuguese:

The Insitute for Cooperation and Language and the National University of East Timor signed a memorandum of understanding today in Lisbon for the creation of a Portuguese Language Institute in East Timor.

From 15 February, ten Portuguese teachers will ensure the teaching of the Portuguese language at the University of Timor, and the creation of the institute has particular relevance because Timor will assume the presidency of the CPLP in the first half of this year.
