Different types of molla, etc.

Saturday, March 30, 2013

Here's an episode of Roller Coaster that may appeal to Korean language learners more than the average episode:

It starts out with different types of 몰라 (I don't know, who knows, no idea...) said by women - the first one is the angry one, the next is the oh I don't know (= please buy it for me) when holding up something while shopping together, and the third one is the pretending to be embarrassed 몰라 when asked for a kiss. After that we have what 미안해 (sorry) can actually mean, 맘대로해 (do whatever you want), and lots of others. Somewhat exaggerated and generalized for comedic effect, but worth a viewing or two or three depending on your Korean level.
