From here in Spanish:
In Portugal in the University of Coimbra, one of the oldest centres of higher education in Europe, the first Russian language centre in the Iberian Peninsula was opened.

Vasili Istratov, vice director of the Russian World Foundation (Russkiy Mir Foundation), said upon his visit to Portugal: "It is a special honour for us, having the Russian centre opening in such an ancient and glorious university. This is our 89th centre we've opened in the five years of history of our foundation. It is the first in a Lusophone area (if you don't count Macao) and the first in the Iberian Peninsula, since there is no such centre in Spain yet.
