Mondial example sentences, part 2: general phrases and time. Also a translation.

Thursday, September 01, 2011

Before showing today's example sentences in Mondial, I have some very good news: it turns out that there actually is a translated work in Mondial available online, The Emperor's New Clothes. I didn't find this out myself: after making the announcement that I have acquired four Mondial books by Heimer I received a comment today by someone who said that: 1) it's great news to see that we have the books now and 2) The Emperor's New Clothes (Le Nov Vestimentes del Imperator) is available online. It's about five pages, an invaluable resource for a language with otherwise such little content. It was translated by Helge Heimer himself, and has a message in Swedish in handwriting on the top. Now what does it say? Hm...

Till Herr Museumsinspektor(?) Jarold Larsen(?) med (something, maybe erkännende?) högaktning från Helge Heimer.

This work can now be added to the corpus, and we can search through it for new vocabulary or examples of usage.

And now to part 2 of the conversational phrases, again only with the English translation when necessary:
