Falcon 9 demo launch should be happening about 14 hours from now

Friday, June 04, 2010

Final approval has been given and the Falcon 9 has a 4-hour launch window Friday morning in Florida, with the launch so far scheduled for 11 am. As always, the best place to watch the launch live is Spaceflight Now, which will begin broadcasting with Miles O'Brien an hour before. Some more instant reaction online will be on this thread on space.com.

So...not much more to say until the launch happens. If it's a success then it will be a phenomenal change in the way payload and people are carried to orbit, and if not then they'll have to try one or a few more times as they did with the Falcon 1 and in the meantime expect a lot of hand-wringing.
