Enjoy Venus in the evening sky while you can - it begins to drop again in about three weeks

The evening sky is quite impressive now in the northern hemisphere as not only is the day almost as long as it can get over the course of a year, but Venus also happens to be at almost its maximum distance from the Sun (as seen from Earth) which means depending on where you live you may be able to observe it even close to midnight. The next big date will be June 15th, which is not only near the solstice as well as Venus' maximum distance from the Sun, but there will also be another crescent moon near the planet as well so it will look like this:


The image comes from here. The new version of Stellarium doesn't agree with my computer and I've uninstalled it for now.
