Medieval German thieves' cant - Spitzbuben-Sprache

Monday, July 20, 2009

You never know what you might find on Wikisource. I just stumbled across this page here, which is a short book from 1687 detailing how thieves' cant (Spitzbuben-Sprache) in German works.

For more info on this, see this page in German or this page in English.

Also on German Wikisource from the 17th century: a picture of a man with an awesome hat and a sword with a handle that looks like a bird. Beat that.
