Most of the PSD/CDS-PP (Partido Social Democrata / Centro Democrático e Social - Partido Popular) rejected today the draft resolutions of the PCP (Partido Comunista Português) and BE (Bloco de Esquerda) on the defense, valuation and investment in the teaching of Portuguese abroad, with the PS joining in the vote against the communists.The current makeup of the assembly in Portugal is:
The PCP's draft resolution recommended that the government "invest in the policy of language, culture and identity that corresponds to the interests of Portugal and Portuguese residents abroad".
People's Party here means the CDS-PP.
