Just some space stuff

Thursday, March 01, 2012

No real posting today due to sickness. Instead, here are some links.

NPR on why exploring space still matters, with Neil DeGrasse Tyson. Some talking about NASA's (relatively) minuscule budget, and deflecting asteroids.

An article on the extrasolar planet GJ667Cc, a super-Earth within the habitable zone of a red dwarf star. Be sure to check out the third image showing how the star would look in the sky from the surface.

Earth seen from the ISS, a wallpaper-worthy image. For more sizes and image types see here.
