Portuguese now second-most studied language in Extremadura

Remember this post from 2008? Back then Portuguese had become the third-most studied language in Extremadura, the province in the west of Spain right next to Portugal. Now it has moved to second place, ahead of French but still well behind English.

According to the article there are 1748 students of Portuguese, compared to 1156 for French. English is at 6271.
