Survey: a full 91% of Brazilians (with internet access) know about Twitter

91% is pretty huge, and perhaps that explains why Portuguese is the second largest language on Twitter after English. The survey was conducted on 1731 people in five regions of the country, and was done online. 91% knew what Twitter was, and 34% had a profile there. Amongst those that had a profile, 34% connected to it more than five times a week.
