Using existing railways for a personal rapid transit system (Synchrotrain)

The concept seems to resemble Vancouver's Skytrain a bit (but smaller) in being fully automated, and would be able to transport cars as well as passengers. The small size is also reminiscent of another proposed system called Vectus (scroll down to the end of the post) though naturally the range is completely different.
