Google's translator widget has much improved

Thursday, October 01, 2009

Google's translation widget has until now been a bit awkward, with a new page having to load in order to work and quite the messy URL on the top as a result. It seems that they've improved it a great deal though so I've finally installed it on Page F30 on the top part of the right column.

Now it works without having to reload the page, and in its place a small bar appears on the top which is a kind of toolbar to further operate the translator. If you translated the page into Spanish for example and want to change it to French you can just click the button on the top, select French and now the page will be in French, also without reloading.

Those that have avoided installing it on your sites as well may want to give it a try now. You can get it here.
