The view from the other side of the clouds during the rainy season

Friday, September 11, 2009

I just realized that I haven't put up these pictures that I took from a plane about two months ago during the rainy season here (Korea). While the view from the ground at the time is of endless grey, from the top of the clouds around sunset was simply amazing. There were about three separate layers of clouds, and the best part was underneath the first one but above the other two, giving a kind of golden layer both above and below but with a pure blue sky directly ahead, and the sun just ahead. These were the pictures I took just before going below the first cloud layer; after that I put the camera away as focusing on the camera too much can be distracting when watching something like this. Be sure to click on them to see them in full size.
