Epic cat rolls watermelon from the sea

Note the cat's Jedi-like intensity as he does it. For some reason it reminds me of this song.

I've been reading your site for quite a while, and I absolutely LOVE it. I've always felt guilty for not commenting, because as fascinated as I am by your posts, I generally don't really have any new insights to offer.

Well, that watermelon-rolling cat finally sealed the deal (it should have been the "Understanding countries through maps" post, but bleh). So here I am leaving a comment thanking you for the *incredible* work you do here. As someone who is extremely interested in both linguistic demography and geography, this place is an absolute gold mine of knowledge, insight, and genuine curiosity.

I don't know how you keep up the excellent work you do (especially while, sadly, getting so little feedback), but I certainly do treasure it, and I bet I'm not the only lurker here.

Cheers.

Bloody hell Amorphis - that's a blast from the past. Haven't heard any of their stuff since my early teens. Great band.

Yeah, Amorphis. The first Amorphis song I ever heard was Black Winter Day on the radio in 1994 or so and I've liked them ever since.

calm_incense: Thanks for the comment. Page F30 is admittedly pretty difficult to comment on from time to time, so no worries. Not only the variation in theme but also some topics like this one that are pretty much just numbers:
